Welcome to St. Michael & All Angels' Markfield

The Parish Church of Markfield is dedicated to St. Michael and All Angels' and stands overlooking the village green and the conservation area.

St. Michael’s has a small but dedicated congregation and visitors can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome. Services include traditional and modern forms of worship.  On the second Sunday each month our All Age Service regularly includes drama, quizzes and activities such as origami.

"Still Friday", on the third Friday each month, provides an opportunity for an hour of reflective songs, simple responses, prayer and silence.

Much of this beautiful Grade Two listed building dates to the 13th century, while there is evidence of Victorian and later re-ordering. There is a peal of six bells, which are regularly rung for services and weddings by the local ringing team. A small choir helps lead the worship, which includes a variety of musical styles. There are links throughout the year with Mercenfeld Primary School in the village.

St. Michael’s is an active member of Churches Together in Markfield and shares in joint services and other activities including "Reflection" events, Worship Together and the Palm Sunday Walk.
